Bake for a Baker
Our exciting Bake for a Baker crowdfunding campaign came to a close in early April, and we were thrilled to welcome our amazing participants for a special online graduation ceremony where they made the transition from trainees to master bakers!
Overall, the campaign raised nearly $90,000, which will go a long way to supporting our next intake of trainees at The Bread & Butter Project bakery. We have to give a big congratulations to the dux of our class, the Baking Consulting Group, who raised nearly $6,000 and were the deserving winners of our grand prize, a masterclass with celebrity chef Peter Gilmore and his Bennelong pastry chef, Rhiann Mead.
Another big thank you also to our judges Terry Durack and Jill Dupleix for their enthusiastic support and culinary expertise, as well as our wonderfully energetic campaign host, Sam Lane.
And finally, thank you to everyone who participated throughout the campaign, whether you were one of our trainee bakers, or someone who showed their support through donations – we appreciate it!
